Celestia
The new Maria Frering collection, Celestia, draws its primary inspiration from Giotto di Bondone. The Italian artist, renowned for his attentive gaze towards the sky and the stars, made contributions that left a lasting mark on the history of art. Whether through his use of lapis lazuli — a rare and precious pigment in his time — or through his decision to depict Halley's Comet in the Epiphany panel after witnessing it himself, Giotto revealed a new way of seeing the world around him.

This collection seeks to reflect that same spirit of transition: the meeting point between tradition and renewal, between the sacred and the scientific, between matter and what it is able to symbolise. Embroidered stars appear as a recurring detail, resting on rings, necklaces and earrings, where natural gemstones come together with bronze, the brand’s signature metal.

The result is a contemporary perspective on themes that remain enduring: the relationship between value and simplicity, between technique and imagination, and between what comes from the past and what is projected into the future.
