Infinito
Our new collection, Infinito, reflects on the importance of repetition and perseverance in the pursuit of identity.
Inspired by the life and work of the Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama, the collection considers jewellery from a new perspective, with embroidery interwoven with gemstones and painted applications upon fabric.
Kusama endlessly repeats her spheres as a form of obliteration. When a form is covered in dots and placed within an environment likewise covered, it disappears – absorbed into something timeless.

By tirelessly repeating her polka-dot networks, Yayoi Kusama interprets the boundless universe and her place within it. She sees herself as a single polka dot within the multitude, and in this way seeks to comprehend the infinite.
“My nets grew beyond me and beyond the canvases I covered with them… They began to cover the walls, the ceiling and, finally, the entire universe. I was always at the centre of the obsession, reflecting the passion for accumulation and repetition within me.” (Yayoi Kusama, in Udo Kultermann, Yayoi Kusama)
In reference to her work, the Infinito collection features the hand-embroidered nets that have already become characteristic of our brand. Some pieces are overtaken by spherical feldspars, while in other earrings, rings and necklaces, polka dots appear to pierce the surface of the bronze. The result alludes to Yayoi Kusama’s infinite cosmos and becomes our tribute to the tireless artist who has dedicated, and continues to dedicate, her life to the pursuit of truth through art.
